Broken “Saviors”
In this sermon from Judges 10, titled "Broken Saviors," we explore how the Children of Israel repeatedly turned to false gods and external solutions in an attempt to solve their internal spiritual problems. From embracing polytheism to seeking worldly sorrow instead of true godly grief, they looked for answers in all the wrong places. This message challenges us to examine the "broken saviors" we may turn to in our own lives—whether it’s success, relationships, or materialism—and reminds us that only God can truly heal and restore us from within. Join us as we learn from Israel’s mistakes and discover the importance of turning to God, who is the only Savior capable of meeting our deepest needs.
Comfortable with the Cancer
This sermon is based on Judges 1 and Judges 2:1-5, where we explored how the Israelites grew comfortable with the Canaanites and how we can learn from their mistakes. In these chapters, we see the Israelites entering the Promised Land. God had commanded them to drive out the Canaanites completely, but they failed to do so. Instead, they allowed the Canaanites to remain, which led to serious consequences. Just as one would never become comfortable living with cancer, the Israelites should never have grown comfortable living with the Canaanites. Cancer is a deadly disease that must be eradicated at all costs. Similarly, the Canaanites represented a spiritual and moral danger that could corrupt the Israelites' faith and obedience to God.
